Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine (1) the contribution of arm muscle power to the chest pass ability of the basketball game at SMP N 1 Siak Hulu, (2) the contribution of hand eye coordination to the ability of the basketball ball chest pass ability at SMP N 1 Siak Hulu (3) Contribution arm muscle power and hand eye coordination to the ability of the chest pass basketball game in SMP N 1 Siak Hulu. This type of research is a multiple correlation. The population and sample in this study were extracurricular students, amounting to 25 people. The research instrument used was the arm muscle power test, eye and hand coordination test and a test for the ability of a chest ball basketball pass. The data analysis technique used is the multiple correlation test. Based on the results of the research it can be concluded that there is 1) There is a contribution of arm muscle power to chest pass ability skills with rcount value = 0.606> rtable = 0.396 with KD value = 36.72%, 2) There is a contribution of eye and hand coordination to chest pass ability skills with rcount value = 0.506> rtable = 0.396 with KD value = 25.60%, 3) There is a contribution of arm muscle power and eye and hand coordination to chest pass skills with a calculated value = 0.659> rtable = 0.396 with a KD value = 43.43%.
