Abstract

In improving family relationships we need to pay attention to the following things: empathetic communication, respect for each other's feelings, ability to express things, self-disclosure, and behavioral flexibility or change and the formation of new, more constructive habits. Formation and direction of communication skills are given more emphasis. This shows the importance of communication in improving and maintaining the quality of relationships in the family. Here the researcher will look further at the power of communication in the relationship of husband and wife, who not only have experienced setbacks, but who have been destroyed by infidelity. The purpose of this study is to determine the communication patterns of couples in the recovery of post-infidelity relationships (Study in the Civil Servants Environment in Pekanbaru City). The research method used is a qualitative method. Data collection techniques are observation, interview and documentation. From the results of interviews and observations that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the Communication Patterns of Couples in the Recovery of Post-Infidelity Relations (Study in the Civil Servants Environment in Pekanbaru City) consists of one-way communication patterns, two-way or reciprocal communication patterns (Two way traffic communication) and Multi-way Communication Patterns. The communication patterns that are often used by informants are one-way communication patterns that cause a lot of conflict and conflict so that the problems that exist cannot be resolved properly.
