Abstract
Emotional readiness and maturity are fundamental in preparing to enter married life. If an early adult individual has fulfilled these two things, it can be said that the individual is ready to marry. However, the phenomenon that develops in society is that there are early adults who choose to postpone marriage. This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional maturity and readiness for marriage in early adulthood. The sample of this research is people in the category of early adulthood in Indragiri Hulu Regency as many as 300 subjects. The results of the study using Spearman's Rank Correlation analysis with a correlation value of r 0.459 with a significant p of 0.000 (p <0.05), it can be concluded that there is a relationship between emotional maturity and readiness to marry in early adulthood. Based on this, the hypothesis in this study is accepted.
