Abstract

The application of image media in the learning process is one way that can be used to arouse student learning motivation. The application of image media as a tool to further clarify material that is still difficult for students to understand. Of all the methods available, the method of applying image media is considered capable of influencing student motivation. One of the advantages of the application method of drawing media students feel compelled or feel challenged to know what will be conveyed by the teacher so that the learning process will be more fun. From the various experiences of teachers in SD Islam Plus YLPI Pekanbaru the method of applying image media is ideal and in accordance with the current conditions of students. As for the limitation of the problem, the authors limit it to matters relating to the problem of the application of the media in learning Islamic Religious Education in SD Islam Plus YLPI Pekanbaru only limit to the chapter prayer and Wudhu. While the formulation of the problem raised in this study is how the application of image media in the teaching of Islamic religious education at SD Islam Plus YLPI Pekanbaru. This study aims to determine the application of image media in the learning of Islamic religious education at SD Islam Plus YLPI Pekanbaru. The place of this research is at SD Islam Plus YLPI Pekanbaru. The population in this study were three PAI teachers. The subject of this study was the PAI teacher at YLPI Pekanbaru Plus Islamic Elementary School. Data collection is done by gathering information, through interviews and direct observation. After conducting research and data collected in the analysis, the application of image media in Islamic religious education learning, namely, in the aspect of teachers using images in accordance with student growth and development, the teacher shows pictures to students in front of the class, aspects of the teacher explaining the lesson using pictures. The teacher gives assignments to students, the application of image media in the learning of Islamic education has been going well and is uniformed with other teachers in SDIP YLPI Pekanbaru
