Abstract

This application aims to describe the application of active learning methods that are applied at SMAN 1 Pangkalan Kuras. High student enthusiasm for dance lessons and the many achievements in the field of dance is evidence that the teacher has successfully applied learning methods. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. The subjects of this study were dance teachers, school principal, head of administration, and a number of students at SMAN 1 Kuras base. The object of this research is the learning method applied at SMAN 1 Pangkalan Kuras. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. To test the validity of the data in this study used a source triagulation technique, which compares data sources with one another as material for data analysis. The data analysis technique used in this study uses interactive analysis techniques. There are four components, namely: 1) data collection techniques 2) data reduction 3) data presentation and 4) drawing conclusions. based on the results of the research conducted it was concluded that in the application of active learning methods in art and culture lessons (dance) class X students at SMAN1 Pangkalan Kuras there are six components, namely: 1) conveying objectives and motivating students 2) presenting information 3) organizing students in groups 4 ) guiding work and study groups 5) evaluating 6) giving rewards
