Abstract
This reseach was motivated by the lack of students‟ attitute of Islamic Education Department of Islamic University of Riau. It can be seen from the symptoms of students‟ attitute, such as speaking impolitely and rudely, speaking with their friends when the lecturer explained the lesson, cheating when the lecture gave the task, and always manipulating the signature when the lecture gave the attendance both for themselves or others. Actually, students have to good attitude that lead to noble moral and be respected due to lecturer has given values and norms for guidance by all students. One of the efforts to improve students‟ attitutte was by providing the understanding of moral education to students of Islamic education department of Islamic University of Riau. The formulation of the problem of this research was “is there any significant influence of Moral education course towards students‟ attitute at the third semester students of Islamic education department academic year 2017-2018. The purpose of this reseach was to find out the influence of moral education course towards students‟ attitute at the third semester students of Islamic education department academic year 2017-2018. This reseach was correlational study and using simple linear. In collecting the data quetionnaire and documentation were used. The population of this reseach were taken by all samples that consisted of 128 students. After analyzing data by using SPSS 24 version, it was obtained probability sig was 0.000. Because of the significant was less than 0.05, 0.000<0.05, so it can be concluded that there was a significant influence of moral education course towards students‟ attitute at the third semester students of Islamic education department academic year 2017-2018. This statement was proved from the coeficient correlation was 0.371 or 37.1%, and coeficient determination was 0.609 or 60.9% which was categorized into strong. It means the influence of moral education course towards students‟ attitute at the third semester students of Islamic education department academic year 2017-2018 were 0.371 and 62.9%, others was influenced by other factors.
