Abstract

Problems in this study low ability students on the outcome of the throw that is still less than the maximum, it is seen, less the maximum results of a throw by the manner or throwing techniques in the know students very minimal, visible when students holding a disc, (while doing rounds prefix, disc held sometimes separated), when throwing (when thrown towards the fall of the disc distorted or not straight into the field throwing). At the end of the movement (still one of the students who lead the student movement out of line at the time of the final movement) The purpose of this study was to determine whether the method can improve the learning part discus Class VIII students of SMP LPM (Institute for Community Education) Mine Kampar. This research is a type of action research is research make by teachers in class through self-reflection with a view to improving its performance as a teacher, population in this study were 30 students of class VIII SMP LPM (Institute for Community Education) Mine Kampar. Then the samples were used as many as 30 students with an engineering sample is total sampling where all population sampled. Discus Throw by using Through Methods section in Class VIII SMP LPM (Institute for Community Education) Mine Kampar district average-ability students on before the cycle is categorized quite competent with the completeness percentage 65.31% (36.67%, completed 11) 36 , 67% come from the 11 students who completed (students who scored above 70.00 can be seen in appendix) divided by 30, the total number of students multiplied by 100%. Discus Throw in the first cycle by using Method Through The average student's ability to rise to the competent category with the percentage of completeness 71.67% (60.00%, completed 18 people) acquired 60.00% of the 18 students who completed (students who received values above 70.00 can be seen in appendix) divided by 30, the total number of students multiplied by 100%, it shows that students like Through The method taught by the teacher, but the average value has not yet reached pre-determined completeness is 80%. While in the second cycle average ability students categorized competent completeness percentage of 76.67% (83.33%, completed 25 people) acquired 83.33% of the 25 students who completed (students who scored above 70.00 could be seen in the annex) the total number of students divided by 30 and multiplied by 100%, which shows that already accomplished classical completeness set forth in this study is 80%. That is part of an effective method to improve the ability of throwing In Class VIII students of SMP LPM (Institute for Community Education) Mine Kampar.
