Abstract

This research is motivated by a number of phenomena that occur in the learning process, especially in the preliminary, core, and closing activities during the pandemic at SMK PGRI Pekanbaru. The focus of the problem in this research is how to learn Indonesian during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to explore and elaborate on learning Indonesian during the Covid-19 pandemic. The theory used in this research is Wena's theory, namely the nature of learning, Trianto and Kunandar about implementation in preliminary activities, Trianto and Suryosubroto implementation in core activities, Trianto in closing activities. This study uses a qualitative approach with the phenomenological method, which describes all forms of action and phenomena carried out by the subjects studied in the implementation of online learning. Data collection techniques in this study are observation techniques and interview techniques. The data analysis technique used is the Stevick-Cosizzi-Kenn theory. The results of this study illustrate that the implementation of online learning at SMK PGRI Pekanbaru has not been implemented effectively and has not been maximized. Online learning has obstacles in its implementation such as unstable network conditions and difficulties for students to understand the learning material. The applications used in the Indonesian language learning process during this pandemic are: WhatsApp groups, Edmodo, Google Classroom, Gmail, Google meet, Zoom. Materials that are difficult for students to understand are: Debate, Drama, Submission of discussion ideas, and material that is easy for students to understand is a cover letter.
