Abstract

Powtoon is a technology-based learning media and information (IT), which makes students more receptive to the material because of the diverse animation features and transition effects that make the material easier to understand. The purpose of this study is to produce learning media and find out the validity of the powtoon learning media on the Pythagorean theorem material in grade VIII of junior high school. This type of research is development research. This research goes through the stages of potential problems, data collection, product design, design validation, product improvement. The instrument used in this study was the material expert assessment sheet and powtoon media. After the media powtoon is made, the powtoon is validated by experts. Validation is done by a validator with a good value. The data analysis technique used is validation analysis. From the results of the analysis that has been done on the material and media validation sheets obtained 79,% which includes a valid category that is good. This means that learning media using powtoon is interesting to use.
