Abstract

Village's original income is a source of income that must be managed properly which is useful fot supporting development in the village. The potential possessed by the village is a supporting factor in increasing the village's original income. The purpose of managing the potential in the village is to improve the economy of the village community. The purpose of this research is to describe the extent to which the village government's strategy is to increase village original income and to find out the obstacles that occur in carrying out increasing village original income in Betung Village. This study uses a swot analysis strategy theory with four indicators, namely stenghts, weakness, opportunities, and threats. This study uses qualitative methods to reduce and explain the actual situation in implementing the increase in village original income in Betung Village. The informant withdrawal technique used purposive sampling technique, which consisted of 4 people consisting of key informants and informants. Based on the research conducted, the results showed that the village government's strategy in increasing village original income in Betung village was based on indicators of strength, weakness, and opportunities, indicating that the strategy carried out by the village government in increasing village original income in exploiting the potential that has not been optimal. The obstacles that occur in increasing the village's original income are human resources and inadequate facilities and infrastructure. Inputs and suggestions from researchers are to make the development and development of the village's potential as a priority program.
