Abstract

This study aims to determine the supervision of the Department of Transportation against illegal parking in the city of Pekanbaru. The type of research that the researcher uses in this study is qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach, namely research by trying to describe the object or subject being studied in accordance with what it is and explain about the variables and indicators in this case are setting standards, determining the measurement of the implementation of activities, comparison of implementation with standards and analysis of deviations. The types and techniques of data collection used consisted of observation, interviews and documentation. Obstacles in the supervision of the Department of Transportation itself is the lack of parking locations, most parking locations are on the edge of public roads so that it interferes with traffic flow. The researcher's input and suggestions for this research are that it is hoped that there will be more public information disclosure provided by the Department of Transportation so that the implementation in the field can run well.
