Abstract
The problem of poverty in Indonesia is a challenge for the government from time to time, to reduce the impact of poverty the government issued a policy, namely the Family Hope Program. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the family of hope program in Tarai Bangun Village and Kualu Village, Mining District, Kampar Regency and to determine the inhibiting factors for the effectiveness of the Family Hope program in Mining District, Kampar Regency. The research method uses qualitative research methods. The sources of this research are 21 informants. The data collection used is observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study consisted of the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, verification and confirmation of conclusions. Based on the results of the research discussion, the effectiveness of the Harapan Family Program (PKH) in Tambang District, Kampar Regency (study in Tarai Bangun Village and Kualu Village) was measured using indicators of the accuracy of program socialization. Program objectives, program monitoring and targeting have been effective. Where the poor people in Tarai Bangun Village can already be helped in the needs of children's education and health so that people do not feel worried anymore for the lack of costs for these needs.
