Abstract

Basic teaching skills is a complex skill that must be owned by someone who works as an educator and can apply it in the process learning. There are 8 basic teaching skills including : opening skills and close the lesson, explaining skills, the skills to hold variations, skills provide reinforcement, questioning skills, class management skills, skills guiding small group discussion, and small group teaching skills individual. But in the study only discusses 3 basic theaching skills include: skills to open and close lessons, class management skills and variation skills. The purpose of this study is to find out how Basic Teaching Skills in Accounting Teachers at Taruna Satria Pekanbaru Vocational School. This research conducted using a research method combination or mixed method with the model unbalanced or concurrent embedded mixture. The subject in this study was the teacher Accounting for 3 people. Data collection techniques used in this study is a questionnaire, observation, interview, and documentation. Based on data that has been collected by researchers regarding the Analysis of Basic Teachers in Accounting Teachers’s Skillls Taruna Satria Vacational School Pekanbaru, that the basic teaching skillsof educators are very good with an average questionnaire score of 86,25 % and observation during 1 meeting with an average score of an average of 62,91 %. In general, the accounting class X teacher at Taruna Satria Vocational School has implemented 3 these skills but there are some inducators of 3 skills that are quite difficult applied as in opening learning the teacher rarely provides tests or exercises first while closing the lesson the teacher rarely gives assignnments or homework as follow up. In managing classes to createand maintain class conditions optimal is still not implemented so that the learning delivered is lacking optimal and variations in teaching styles are not as applied as variations in teaching the use of learning toolsand media is still less that optimal because of the facility and infrastructure provided by the scholl is still incomplete.
