Abstract

This research was carried out in Tebing Tinggi, precisely at the National Amil Zakat Agency, Meranti Islands Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the size of the income of Small and Medium Enterprises (UMK) before and after being given the distribution of zakat funds by the National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) of Meranti Islands Regency and also to determine the role of the distribution of zakat funds by the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS). Meranti Islands Regency to increase the income of Small and Medium Enterprises (UMK). The type of data used in this study is secondary data in the form of annual quantitative figures from 2018 to 2020 and the source of this data is obtained directly from the National Amil Zakat Agency of Meranti Islands Regency. This study also uses primary data, namely identity data, total income, and other data obtained directly from respondents of Small and Medium Enterprises (UMK) who were given zakat funds by BAZNAS, Meranti Islands Regency. This research uses data analysis method with gross income formula, net income formula, and also the percentage increase in income formula. From the results of this study, it is known that: 1) it is known that the average gross income and net income of MSEs before and after being given productive zakat funds by BAZNAS, Meranti Islands Regency has increased. 2) The role of distribution of productive zakat funds by BAZNAS in Meranti Islands Regency in increasing the income of Small and Medium Enterprises (UMK) in Meranti Islands Regency has a percentage of 90.39%.
