Abstract

he purpose of this study was to determine the roles and obstacles of the Social Service, Community Empowerment and Village of Kuantan Singingi Regency in Fostering the Poor Collective Business Group (KUBE) in Central Kuantan District. This research uses descriptive type with a qualitative approach through data sources from informants, observation, and documentation. The collected data were classified according to the type and form and then presented descriptively. Based on the results of the analysis in the research discussion, it is concluded that the government of Kuantan Singingi Regency in alleviating poverty can be seen from the work program that has been implemented in the formation of KUBE in an effort to alleviate poverty. The Social Service, which is the agency closest to the problem of poverty, has a very important role in alleviating community poverty. The KUBE program is a program aimed at poor or underprivileged families. The aim of the program is to try to improve the quality of life and social welfare of poor families in the context of accelerating poverty alleviation in Kuantan Singingi RegencyT
