Abstract

Illocutionary speech acts are often used in everyday language that humans do in converying something. The use of illocutionary speech acts is a phenomenon that encourager researchers to caary out further research. The problem of this research is how illocutionnary speech acts are used in advertising language on national television stations, analyze and interpret illocutionary speech acts and utterances in each illocutionary speeech act, food and beverage advetisements on Trans Tv. The theory used in this study is the theory of seale’s speesh sentence in tarigan 2009:42. The approach in this research is qualitative. types of speech act research are assertif, expressive and in this reseatch is descriptive method. Data collection techiniques in this study examined the language of advertisements on national televion stations using listening and note-taking techniques in the form of oral conversation in the food and beverage advertiment video of the research writte languange. The results of this study show that there are 46 assertive speech acts, 5 commisssive speech acts, and 4 expressive speech acts. of the four forms illocutionary speech acts, Theree are 61 utterances.
