Abstract

The Phenomenon Of The Cyclist Community TGC (Tampan Gowes Community) Pekanbaru During The Covid-19 Pandemic Reny Miranti NPM: 179110225 The cycling trend has become increasingly popular in Indonesia since March 2020, along with the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic. Cycling trends that occur today are of interest to various ages. For some people, cycling is a means for them to release their boredom at home. This study aims to find out how the phenomenon of the cyclist community TGC (Tampan Gowes Community)Pekanbaru during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses Alfred Schutz's phenomenological theory with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques in this study through interviews and documentation. The data from this study were obtained from primary and secondary data. The informants in this study were members of the cyclist community TGC (Tampan Gowes Community) Pekanbaru who were active in cycling during the Covid-19 pandemic, especially among elderly people aged 40 years to seniors who were already 65 years old. There were 5 informants in this study. The results of this study explain the phenomenon of the Pekanbaru TGC cyclist community during the Covid-19 pandemic using Alfred Schutz's phenomenology which classifies motives into two parts, namely Because Motives which refer to past experiences, in the form of experiences starting cycling because of friends, starting a healthy lifestyle, lack of friends, and relationships that not closely related among members of the cycling community. In Order Motives that refer to the future, in the form of get the latest information, gathering places, making new friends, trends during the Covid-19 pandemic, expressing oneself, introducing tourist attractions, and running a business.
