Abstract

Interpersonal Communication of Adolescent in Broken Home Family in Tanjung Balai Karimun Fifi Dwi Rosdeanti NPM : 179110133 Against the background of interpersonal communication of adolescent from a disorganized family whose impact very influential on interpersonal communication and adolescent behavior in Tanjung Balai Karimun. This research aims to know how interpersonal communication of adolescent in Broken Home family in the school, families, and environment. This research was carried out with interview and used qualitative method where the research subjects were 5 adolescents of Broken Home families that needs in this research (purposive sampling technique). This research used Social Penetration Theory. The results showed that the interpersonal communication of adolescents in Broken Home families did not go well. This is of course because communication between adolescents and parents does not go well due to problems in the family. Good communication is built by not prioritizing selfishness and personal interests but still thinking about the interests of the family in it. The success of communication within the family can be done if teenagers and their parents can give each other good responses. Children with the surrounding environment must communicate with each other in a family that is not intact.
