Abstract

In the implementation of village development which aims to prosper the village community, the village head has an important role in the implementation of development in the village. In the implementation of development in Polak Pisang Village, almost all of them are still running and some are neglected. We can see this from the construction of a water depot which should have been well realized but has not yet been realized, then the BUMDES operational car which should be used for the implementation of BUMDES activities but is not used properly, the public cemetery fence which was built to beautify the beauty of the TPU but is not until a year has fallen. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the village head in development management in Polak Pisang Village, Kelayang District, Indragiri Hulu Regency in 2019/2020 and the inhibiting factors. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method with data collection through interviews, observation and documentation. Key informants in the research informants in this study were the Village Head, Head of Development, BPD Polak Pisang Village and Community Leaders. The results of the study can be concluded that the role of the village head in development management in Polak Pisang Village, Kelayang District, Indragiri Hulu Regency in the 2019/2021 category is quite effective. This indicates that the implementation of this deliberation cannot run optimally. This means that this deliberation has not fully reached consensus, the problems that occur in the implementation of this deliberation include, among others, that there are still members and the community who do not actively participate in the implementation of this deliberation and the exact program that has been set with its realization, so that this makes many corrections to mistakes. errors that occur in deliberation.
