Abstract

At this time, tourism has become an asset in every region as well as a medium to advance the area where tourist sites are located. Purnama Beach which is located in Purnama Village, Dumai Barat District is one of the natural attractions in this area, in this case it can be seen that the condition of the beach is still not optimal in its management, lack of tourist facilities, lack of inadequate accessibility and so on. This study aims to identify the development of Purnama Beach in the tourism aspect, namely, attractions, accessibility and facilities (amenities). The research approach to Purnama Beach tourism potential, Purnama Village, Dumai Barat District, Dumai City uses a deductive method with quantitative descriptive analysis with scoring analysis. Qualitative methods are used to describe the condition of the beach, then quantitative methods are used to identify aspects of attractions, accessibility, and facilities (amenities ). The data sources that researchers use are primary data in the form of observations, questionnaires, interviews, documentation, and secondary data in the form of library studies and agency surveys. The results showed that the development of the aspect of attraction/attraction with various indicators, namely the beauty of the beach had a score of 83.8%, trees/plants had a score of 884.5%, attractions (outbound, fishing and others) had a score of 81.9% so that in the average score on the attraction aspect is 83.4%. Then the potential in the aspect of accessibility with various indicators, namely tourist directions have a score of 76.9%, road conditions have a score of 82.5%, transportation facilities have a score of 59.6%, telecommunications networks have a score of 71.4%, so that the score can be obtained. the average on the aspect of accessibility is 72.1% After that, the potential in the aspect of amenities (facilities) with various indicators, namely parking lots has a score of 83.7%, food stalls a score of 76.2%, toilets have a score of 53.3%, resting places (stages, cottages and others) a score of 85.7 %, spot photography scored 87.9%, so that the average score on the amenities (facilities) aspect was 77.36%. Based on the results of research on the three highest aspects, namely the aspect of attraction, followed by the aspect of accessibility, and the aspect of facilities (amenity). The development of Purnama Beach is based on three aspects, namely attractions, accessibility, facilities need to be improved and considered by related parties for more optimal development in the future.
