Abstract

Field X is a field managed by BOB PT. Bumi Siak Pusako – Pertamina Hulu. This field has 4 challenging sand layers, namely Basement, Bekasap, 1600', and 1500' sand layers. The main products in the X field were initially only contributed by two layers, namely Bekasap and Basement. The 1500' and 1600' layers are only used as reservoir supports because of their characteristics. The problems and challenges that are currently occurring in Field X are the non-optimal production of oil originating from the bekasap layer and basement. To produce field X and increase oil profit economically, hydraulic fracturing is carried out in the 1500' layer. 1500' has a relatively low permeability, which is below 50mD, a low water cut, which is below ~ 30%, a pressure that is not too large around 500 psi, and a low flow rate, but the 1500' layer has a large enough layer potential to be developed. and evenly distributed throughout Field X. The selection process will be carried out in two steps, namely the initial selection stage followed by a detailed sub-surface evaluation. The candidate selection process was carried out on 21 wells in Field X which was divided into 3 areas, namely AIN, HANI and AIZ. The candidate selection process resulted in 3 wells, namely HANI #02, AIN #08 and AIZ #03. After the fracturing permeability of Hani#02 became 828 mD, Ain#08 became 4132 mD and Aiz#08 became 1663 mD. While the skin for all wells becomes -6. In addition, there were also significant changes in PI and Qmax up to >200 bfpd for all wells. However, if you refer to company standards, there is the Hani #02 well which can be said to have failed because it only had an oil gain of below 50 bopd. while the other two wells are included in the successful category
