Abstract

Tualang District is generally located in a plain area where the manufacturing sector. According to the Gross Domestic Product of Siak Regency, revenue from the industrial sector is around 42%. Industrial development of PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper which is quite fast in the Tualang District will have an impact on the high demand for land both for industrial activities and for supporting activities such as settlements, which will have an impact on changes in residential land use. The data were analyzed by descriptive analysis and spatial analysis with overlay. The results of the analysis show that there is a change in land use in Tualang District which was originally around 17.830752 Ha in 2008 to 37.861812 Ha in 2020. Tualang District which was tested using Chi Square analysis with the results between the variables of Labor Absorption and Settlement Improvement with a p-value of 0.009. For the variable of Labor Absorption and Improvement of Settlement Infrastructure, the pvalue of 0.036 was obtained. Then the variable of Increase in Manpower and Improvement of Settlement Infrastructure with a p-value of 0.007 and the variable of Increase in Manpower and Development of Settlements obtained a p-value of 0.007. Based on the results of the analysis on all variables, it can be concluded that H1 is accepted. This means that H0 is rejected, so there is "The Effect of Industrial Development of PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper on the Settlement Land in the Tualang District".
