Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of Facebook social media by MSMEs as a product marketing communication medium in Suka Sari Hamlet, Rantau Sakti Village. Marketing communication is a communication activity carried out to convey messages with the aim of marketing products to consumers. Social media is a communication medium that can convey messages by utilizing internet technology. Facebook is one of the most widely used social media. In this study, researchers used a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews and observation. The subjects of this research are people who market MSME products by using Facebook as a means to market their products. The results showed that in the use of social media Facebook which was used as a marketing communication medium for MSME products, there was a marketing plan that was carried out, namely Situation Analysis and Time Frame, which observed environmental conditions around the result that the majority of the people of Dusun Suka Sari, Rantau Sakti Village used Facebook, people like to shop online, people like to look for trending items, and the steps taken are to use Facebook to market products and sell products that are much needed. Target Market, where consumers are mothers who like to shop online. The existence of a program, providing services between goods to consumers. Monitoring process, re-observing the marketing process that has been done to determine the effectiveness of the marketing process through Facebook.
