Abstract

This study aims to improve the high-level thinking skills of class X IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Bunut academic year 2019/2020 with the application of the Guided Inquiry Learning Model. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) with the research subjects of class X IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Bunut Academic Year 2019/2020 which states 32 students consisting of 17 male students and 15 female students. This research was conducted in two cycles and each cycle has four stages, namely: planning, action, observation, observation, reflection. In cycle I consisted of 2 meetings giving the task of video proportions, quizzes and 1 daily test, cycle II consisted of 2 meetings with video proportion assignments, quizzes and 1 daily test. The data technique was done by giving a final test in the form of daily tests with HOTS questions at the end of each cycle. While the data analysis test used descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the guided inquiry learning model can improve the high-level thinking skills of economy class X IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Bunut in the 2019/2020 academic year. The increase in students' high-order thinking skills was seen in cycle I with an average of 79.34% with and classical completeness of 79.31 and increasing in cycle II with an average of 88.37% and classical completeness of 93.10%. From the results of this study, it can be seen that the implementation of SMA Negeri 1 Bunut for the 2019/2020 academic year.
