Abstract

This airport is categorized as a feeder airport, because this airport is a supporter of a collecting airport and as one of the supporting services for local activities. From the blueprint for the development of Raja H.Abdullah airport for 2015-2035, the airport wants to bring in aircraft with a larger capacity, namely 2 aircraft with the ATR 72-600 type. This ATR 72-600 aircraft can accommodate 68-78 passengers, and requires a take-off distance of 1,367 m. So in this study, researchers wanted to evaluate the air side facilities at the airport to match the safe distance for the ATR 72-600 type aircraft that they wanted to import. In this final project, researchers focus on evaluating airside facilities in general. Which consists of the runway, taxiway, apron and also the thickness of the pavement. To evaluate the researchers used standards from ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) and FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) to determine the minimum capacity or safe distance that corresponds to the characteristics of the ATR 72-600 aircraft. Meanwhile, for the thickness of the pavement, the author uses an analytical method. From the standards and methods used by researchers, the minimum and safe distances for airside facilities are obtained in accordance with international airport security standards. Based on the calculation results in accordance with the characteristics of the planned aircraft to be imported, namely the ATR 72-600 aircraft. The runway length for landing is 1800 m, and take-off is 1550 m. Meanwhile, for Taxiway planning, there is an additional exit taxiway lane with a width of 15 m, a length of 75 m and a total taxiway and shoulder width of 25 m. while for the apron the researchers changed it into two parts, where part A was used to get off and pick up passengers with a length of 120 m and a width of 70 m. and section B for other aircraft can freely pass and not interfere with the loading and unloading process of other aircraft, with a length of 90 m and a width of 70 m B. take the longest in the calculation of one area (120 m). so that the total area of the apron is 14700 m2. For the pavement thickness, the safe thickness was obtained using the CBR 50 cm method and the FAA 30 cm method.
