Abstract

According to the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 10 of 2009 concerning Tourism, tourism is a variety of tourism activities and is supported by various service facilities provided by the community, businessmen, government and local governments. The Tenayan Raya Agrotourism Park is one of the parks that implements educational tourism in it. The objectives of these objectives are (a) the identification of the problems of the Tenayan Raya Agrotourism Park (b) the identification of the formulation of the strategy for developing the Tenayan Raya Agrotourism Park based on educational tourism in Pekanbaru City. The method used in this research is descriptive-quantitative method. The research uses a type of field research in the form of a questionnaire. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire and an interview that has been distributed to 100 respondents using a simple random sampling technique, then a SWOT analysis is carried out. The results of the study indicate that the identification of the problems of the Tenayan Raya Agrotourism Park which consists of (a) human resources (b) promotion (c) infrastructure support still needs to be developed optimally so that the Tenayan Raya Agrotourism Park becomes better, such as increasing human resources. its human resources, adding to the attractiveness of the Tenayan Raya Agrotourism Park through promotion and improving facilities and infrastructure that are still inadequate. The formulation of a strategy that can be done for the development of the Tenayan Raya Agrotourism Park based on education is to promote it by adding to the existing promotions and increasing the attractiveness of the Tenayan Raya Agrotourism Park. The current level of achievement of the development of the Agrotourism Park is 80%, which means that the development carried out has been very good, but still needs to improve the shortcomings contained in the park.
