Abstract

Anxiety is a mental condition that is full of worries and fears of what might happen, both related to limited problems and strange things, but students who hold fast to their religiosity will encourage themselves to control their anxiety levels so that they become good personalities with his social environment and obey all restrictions in his religion. This study aims to determine the relationship between religiosity with anxiety levels in Riau Islamic University students with a population of 24,419 students aged 18-25 years, with a total sample of 200 students. The sampling technique in this study uses a simple random sampling method. Data collection techniques used a scale of 59 items for the anxiety scale and 32 items for the scale of religiosity. The results of this study use product moment correlation analysis with a correlation coefficient r of 0.151 with a significant p of 0.033 (p <0.005), it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between religiosity with anxiety levels. In the sense that the hypothesis in this study was accepted, which means that the higher the religiosity of a student, the lower the anxiety level, and vice versa.
