Abstract

The many facilities on the Islamic University of Riau campus are sometimes annoying and there are many complaints about messy campus facilities. Both facilities related to cleanliness, as well as those related to damage. The causes of the complaints that were shown to the Islamic University of Riau campus were for example road damage, damaged classroom facilities, slow internet or cleanliness in every corner of the campus. It can be reported by adding a photo by writing a description of the complaint so that those who have an obligation can improve it so that it will be processed faster for better service for students, lecturers and university campus employees. The solution to the problems mentioned earlier is to build a system that can be used for the process of reporting damage to public facilities, the system will also apply the Collaborative Filtering method. Collaborative filtering is one of the algorithms used to develop a recommender system and has been proven to give very good results. Collaborative Filtering which is used as a process to sort the damage that must be repaired by using the subject as the basis for determining the scale value. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the use of the Collaborative Filtering method can produce data that is in accordance with the process of inputting data on reporting damage or problems with public facilities at the Islamic University of Riau.
