Abstract

Pekanbaru City have 57 universities consisting of national universities and private universities. Of the universities in Pekanbaru, there are 16 universities that have official websites. Where each college website has news about the achievements of the campus, news information such as new student registration schedules and about activities carried out on a campus. From previous research among students in Pekanbaru. It was found that students were interested in campus news. The news that is dominantly sought after is news about events organized by each campuses. However, there are some students who have difficulty finding news and information from several existing universities. Therefore, a web portal was built that can display news from universities in Pekanbaru. This web portal was built to make it easy for students to find and obtain the desired news from existing universities. This web portal was built using the grabbing technique with the mobile web-based Naive Bayes classifier method. Grabbing technique to integrate all the website and retrieve data from other places or sources. With this system, it is hoped that it will make it easier for students to find and get information from campuses in Pekanbaru.
