Abstract

This study aims to determine and examine the relationship between the competence of human resources on the work productivity of employees at PT. Johan Sentosa Bangkinang garden. The population in this study were all employees of the production division of PT. Johan Sentosa Bangkinang Gardens, totaling149 people. As for the sample selection technique in this study, using purposive sampling technique with a total of 111 employees as a sample consisting of fruit cutting employees (harvesters) and fruit loading employees. Data collection techniques in this study are using questionnaires and conducting interviews. Data analysis in this study is using descriptive analysis methods and quantitative analysis. The testing technique in this study is using the SPSS 21 application which consists of validity and reliability test, simple linear regression analysis, correlation coefficient test (r), coefficient of determination test (R2), and hypothesis testing (t test). Based on the result of simple linear regression analysis shows that the variable of human resource competence has a significant effect on the work productivity of employees at PT. Johan Sentosa Bangkinang Gardens. The result of the correlation test analysis (r) show that there is a strong relationship between the variable of human resource competence and the variable of employee work productivity. The result of the analysis of the coeffiecient of determination (R2) indicate that the variable of human resource competence affects the variable of employee work productivity. And the results of the analysis of hypothesis testing (t test) show that human resource competence (X) has a significant effect on employee work productivity (Y).
