Abstract

This research is motivated by the process of cultivating the Tameng Teluh Di dance Narasinga II studio by choreographers with every creativity he worked. This study aims to determine the creativity in the work dance (Tameng Teluh) at Sanggar Narasinga II, Indragiri Hulu Regency. Research This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, namely an understanding research deep in the whole relating to the object being researched for answer problems and get data then analyzed and conclude. The data collection technique used was observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that 1) Creative thinking activities in the Tameng Teluh dance form has shown good results, as the choreographer uses the theme and movements in working on this first step dance, where the theme is used, namely the theme of the customs of the community and the universe as well in movements using a few additional creations in each dance move Teluh Shield that follows the storyline when doing movement 2) Creativity finds and creates in choreographers already doing well, as in the process of tapping into creativity both of these use movement, property, dancers and clothing, as well as musical accompaniment, the choreographer's work process tries to create a new movement as well changing musical genres and more modern fashion in the Tameng dance Teluh 3) New and original creativity done by the choreographer in working on the Tameng Teluh dance which is done is good, as is the choreographer uses the musical genre and properties used in the arable process with new creativity and original, so that the results of the property some new additions are used and do not lose the value or the original form of the property at the time of the Tameng Teluh dance before being created, 4) Useful and valuable creativity done by choreographers in working on The Tameng Teluh dance is good and religious and values ​​beauty in dance movements Body Shield.
