Abstract

This study aims to describe how the implementation of cultural arts learning (deli dance) in class VIII-7 in SMP Negeri 5 Tualang Siak Regency even semester T.A 2019/2020. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach. data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study are 26 students and 1 teacher of study. the place of research was conducted at SMP Negeri 5 Tualang which located on the street OK muhammad jamil tualang. Data analysis techniques used in this study are data collection, data simplification (data reduction), data grouping and data inference or verification. The theory used in this study is (Winasanjaya 2013: 57-61). From the findings in the field, the conclusion was drawn that the material taught in the study of art and culture was the Kuala Deli dance. shape the character of students in accordance with the provisions of the 2013 curriculum which emphasizes students to be active and creative during learning based on faith and piety. learning methods used lecture method, demonstration method, question and answer, and discussion or grouping. facilities and infrastructure used in conducting learning are classrooms, speakers, personal cell phones, and schools. assessment used is the assessment of theory and practice in the form of A (91-100) B (80-90) C (70-79) D (51-69) and there are 7 students or 26.92% who get scores from a range 51- 68 and declared incomplete while there were 19 students or 73.07% who scored from the range of 70-100 and declared complete.
