Abstract

A language style is usually inseparable from a meaning in it. The author sets out the subject matter of the style of language and the meaning contained in the song lyrics in the storm album must have passed Chrisye's work. This research is entitled "Analysis of Language Style and the Meanings Found in Song Lyrics in the Storm Albums Definitely Passed by Chrisye's Works". The problem in this study is 1) How does the style of the language contained in the lyrics in the storm album definitely pass by Chrisye? 2) How does the meaning contained in the song lyrics in the storm album definitely pass by Chrisye ?. This study aims to analyze the style of language and the meaning contained in the song lyrics in a hurricane album, definitely past Chrisye's work. This study uses descriptive methods, types of library research, and qualitative research. The theory used in this study is Keraf's theory (2006), Abdul Chaer (2009) and Pateda (2010). The source of the data in this study is that all the songs contained in the storm album must have passed Chrisye's work, which numbered 11 (Eleven) songs. The results of this study are the style of language contained in the song lyrics in the storm album must have passed Chrisye's work, which researchers found a number of 10 language styles in accordance with the limitations of the problems studied, namely rhetorical language style: Alliteration, Asindenton, Polisindenton, Asonansi, Hyperbole, Simploke. and figurative language style: Equation or simile, Personification, Eponym, Hypalase. In this study the authors found 8 (eight) types of meaning in accordance with the limitations of the problems studied, namely the meaning of extension, the meaning of stereotypes, grammatical meanings, non-inferential meanings, cognitive meanings, pictorial meanings, ideological meanings and figurative meanings. The lyricist uses where to further beautify the song, and shows that the style of language and meaning is a science that is also applied to someone like the song stanza on a hurricane album, definitely past Chrisye's work.
