Abstract

How To Learn Biology Class XI Students IPA (Case Study at SMAN 1 Control IV Koto, Rokan Hulu Regency Academic Year 2019/2020) TITIK AFRIANI NPM. 166510547 Thesis of Biology Education Study Program. Faculty of Teacher Training and Science Education Riau Islamic University Main Advisor: Sepita Ferazona, M.Pd ABSTRACT This research aims to find out how to study biology of students of class XI IPA in SMAN 1 in Control IV Koto, Rokan Hulu Regency. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The instrument used in this study uses interview sheets as main data, observation sheets and documentation as supporting data. The sample used as many as 5 students, where the first student is a student who has a medium intelligence ability, the second student is a student who has a high intelligence ability, the third student has a low intelligence ability, while the fourth student is a student has a high intelligence ability, and students are the fifth students who have moderate intelligence. Then the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. From the recapitulation of all indicators of learning methods for class XI Natural Sciences, 60,71% results are included in the competent category. Research results indicate that there needs to be some improvement in student learning, such as motivation or attention from parents and teachers, especially increasing student concentration in learning at home or at school.
