Abstract

Framing analysis of news coverage of Yosi Mokalu 'Project Pop' the influencer in online media on news portals tempo.co and mediaindonesia.com in this study aims to understand and analyze online news in framing news coverage on an issue by conveying an event to the public. This type of research uses a qualitative interpretive research method with framing analysis. The focus of this research is framing analysis on the news coverage of the issue of Yosi Mokalu the influencer on online media tempo.co and mediaindonesia.com. The data analysis technique used in this study is the Robert N. Entman model framing analysis method with four tools, namely Define Problem, Diagnose Cause, Make Moral Judgment, and Treatment Recommendation. By emphasizing the prominence of the frame of mind, perspective and concept of interpreting a news. The results of this study indicate that the issues raised by online media, which tempo.co displays with backing up news in framing the news issues, which tempo.co writes news that contradicts the government's policy to use the services of these influencers, but there is one The news that reported to maintain the image of Yosi, this neutral news was written as giving support to Yosi Project Pop, tempo.co also emphasized in its news about the denial and confession of Yosi Project Pop about his untruth that was rumored. While mediaindonesia.com in its reporting, mediaindonesia.com is also allegedly supporting government policies or using the services of government influencers because there are no comments found against the government policies, it can be concluded that tempo.co and mediaindonesia.com show the reality of the news according to the facts. or unconsciously the series of information conveyed can affect the mindset of the reader.
