Abstract

This study aims to find out how the framing of Covid-19 vaccination news in the online media TribunPekanbaru.com January 2021 edition. The reason for the research in this January edition is where this news is the main topic discussed in every information media related to vaccination which is still confusing. lawfulness and safety. This research was conducted using Robert N. Entman's framing analysis method with a qualitative approach through its four elements, which include: define problems, diagnose causes, make moral judgments and treatment recommendations. The results of this study indicate that the define problem in the online media TribunPekanbaru.com is the government's effort in cooperating with the community to participate in the Covid-19 vaccination program. Diagnose causes: Sinovac vaccine is not optimal to be given in the category of all ages and does not guarantee that the public is completely protected from the Covid-19 virus. Make moral judgment: the government still enforces the provisions to implement health protocols even though they have been vaccinated. Treatment recommendation: it is important for the community to support the government's program in overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic by being willing to participate in the Covid-19 vaccination. Through the findings of this study, it is hoped that online media will continue to deliver positive news in order to foster an attitude of optimism in the community
