Abstract

Research entitled "Teacher Techniques Motivate Students in Language Learning and Class VIII Indonesian Literature in Pangkalan Lesung District Public Middle School Pelalawan Regency ". The problem of this research is (1) what motivational techniques are used by teachers to motivate students in language and literature learning Indonesia class VIII in the Public Middle School District of Pangkalan Lesung Regency Pelalawan? (2) what is the obstacle of the teacher in using motivation techniques to students class VIII at the Public Middle School in Pangkalan Lesung District, Pelalawan Regency ?. The purpose of this study is (1) collecting, analyzing and interpreting techniques that teachers use in motivating students in language learning and Indonesian literature class VIII in the Public Middle School District of Pangkalan Lesung Regency Pelalawan. (2) know the obstacles faced by teachers in using Motivation techniques for eighth grade students in Pangkalan District Public Middle School Lesung Pelalawan Regency. This research uses Sardiman's theory. Population in this study there were 4 (four) people. This research uses the method descriptive. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques The technique used is observation and interview techniques. Based on research results concludes that (1) what motivational techniques are used by teachers to motivate students in learning Indonesian language and literature class VIII in junior high school There are as many as 8 sub-districts in Pangkalan Lesung, Pelalawan Regency technique, namely: (a) prize 8 times. (b) competition / competition 38 times. (c) Egoinvolvement as much 5 time. (d) knowing the results as much 4 time. (e) praise as much 73 time. (f) punishment as much 27 time. (g) desire as much 2 time. (h) aim that recognized as much 4 time. (2) is obstacles teacher in use motivational techniques towards students there are obstacles namely (a) students pay less attention when the teacher teaches at ahead so that there is only one-way communication, (b) students are seized during learning take place, (c) not all students are active while in class because of ability different students, (d) students do not want to work together and (e) lack of creativity student.
