Abstract
Access point is a computer network device that can connect wireless devices to a local network using wifi, bluetooth, wireless technology, and others. One of the government agencies that provides wifi internet access for employees of the Regional Peat Restoration Team (TRGD) in the office environment. This wifi network includes an exclusive area where employees can access the internet via wireless (without cables) via computers, laptops, notebooks, and smartphones. This study makes a comparison in the office of the Regional Peat Restoration Team on the range of accessing the Internet using Virtual Access Point and Real Access Point with the Quality of Service parameter method Delay, Throughput, Packet Loss and two browsers for Virtual Access Point Opera Browser and Google Chrome. The test results show that Real Access Point is more stable but from the statistics Virtual Access Point is superior but tends to be unstable. From the Packet Loss parameters, both Access Points are good and feasible to use and the Delay statistic for all Access Points >150 ms applying to THIPON which gets an index of 4 Very Good. In conclusion, the researcher suggests using a stable network, Real Access Point.
