Abstract
This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of work motivation on employee performance at PT. Arvena agreed in Batang Cenaku sub-district. This research was carried out using descriptive and quantitative methods, namely by analyzing the data that had been collected from the results of the study and connected to the theoretical basis in the literature review. The population in this study were all field employees at PT. Arvena Sepakat in Batang Cenaku Subdistrict in 2019 totaling 202 employees. To determine the number of samples used for this study, by focusing on field employees, namely employees of the fertilizer division and foreman with a total of 32 respondents. The sampling technique used was the purposive sampling method. The results of the study can be concluded that the work motivation variable (X) has a positive effect on the employee performance variable (Y) at PT. Arvena agreed in Batang Cenaku district and the magnitude of the influence of motivation on employee performance was 32.2%.
