Abstract
This research was conducted in Sialang Kubang Village, Perhentian Raja District, Kampar Regency. This study aims to determine the role of catfish farming on the welfare of the community seen from the income aspect of catfish farming in Sialang Kubang Village, Perhentian Raja District, Kampar Regency. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data, the population in this study catfish farming entrepreneurs as many as 26 respondents as samples. The results showed that: catfish hatchery has a significant role in helping the economy of the people in the area with a net income of up to Rp 10,871,739 per month and an average contribution of 76.63%. This catfish hatchery business also has a BCR of 2.99, which means every Rp. 1 issued will result in IDR 1.99 and a BCR >1 that is eligible to continue.
