Abstract
This study describes the cooparative learning strategy in art and culture subjects (kuala deli dance) in class VII.5 in SMP Negeri 1 Bandar Sekijang. The problem of this research is how the cooperative learning strategy in art and culture subjects (kuala deli dance) in class VII.5 at SMP Negeri 1 Bandar Sekijang. This study aims to collect data and information about teacher strategies in teaching using cooperative learning in arts and culture subjects in class VII.5 in SMP Negeri 1 Bandar Sekijang to improve student learning outcomes. This research method is descriptive analysis using qualitative data by collecting data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. In this study, the subject of the study were 1 art and culture teacher and fifth grade 5 students, totaling 30 students consisting of 14 male students and 16 female students. The results of the research Theory used is based on Rusman (2017: 304) with the steps of cooperative learning: 1. Explanation of the material, 2. Learning in groups, 3. Assessment, 4. Team recognition. The results of this study can improve student learning above the KKM standard of 70 through cooperative learning strategies.
