Abstract

Language error analysis is a science that discusses the use of language that is not in accordance with the rules that have been set based on standard Indonesian grammar. Analysis of language errors follows Setyawati's theory that there are two forms, namely phrase and sentence fields. The occurrence of language errors in the field of phrases and sentences, especially in the mass media is a phenomenon that encourages writers to investigate further and learn language errors. The phenomenon of language errors the author found in Rohul Today's online news. The problems in this research are (1) How is the syntactic language error in the phrase field contained in Rohul Today's online news ?, (2) How is the syntactic language error in the sentence field contained in Rohul Today's online news ?. The purpose of this study is (1) to describe, analyze, interpret, and conclude syntactic language errors in the phrase field contained in Rohul Today's online news, (2) Describe, analyze, interpret, and conclude syntactic language errors in the sentence field contained in Rohul Today's online news. This research method is Content Analysis. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. This type of research is library research. Based on data analysis and data interpretation, syntactic language errors at the phrase field level in Rohul Today's online news found 33 data. Language errors in the syntactic level of phrase fields are classified into (a) The influence of regional languages is found 1 error data that is phrases, jerry cans rather than, (b) improper use of prepositions found 28 error data ie phrases in years, to families, (c) word order incorrectly found 3 error data that is all that phrase, (d) excessive use of elements or redundant found 1 error data that is phrase for sake. Syntactic language errors at the sentence field level in Rohul Today's online news found 45 data. Language errors in the syntactic level of the sentence field are classified into (a) unsubstantiated sentences found 27 error data namely to the family visited, (b) sentences not subjected and not predicated (stump sentences) found 11 error data namely, (c) use of foreign terms found 5 error data namely Center and Cloud Digital Transformation, (d) the use of question words that do not need to be found 2 error data namely which, where previously
