Abstract

This type of research is a classroom action research with Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model which aims to improve the high-order thinking skills of class X IPS 3 SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru. The subjects in this study were all students of class X IPS 3 SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru, totaling 36 people. The variables used in this study were the Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model as the independent variable and the high-order thinking ability became the dependent variable. The data collection technique used in this research is descriptive technique. The results of data processing using descriptive techniques are known from the results of daily tests before the completion of the action percentage of 47%, after the first cycle of action there was a change to 50% and after the implementation of the second cycle of action, there was a drastic increase to 86% and was declared classical complete. The learning activities of students also experienced an increase from cycle I and cycle II which was marked by the percentage of students' learning activities in cycle I of 73% with a good category and after the action cycle II increased to 90% with a very good category. The benefits of this research for students, by applying the learning model, students are expected to be active so that the learning atmosphere is good, fun, conducive and can improve higher-order thinking skills in answering and solving problems in the learning process, for teachers to add variations in better using the learning model. Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) is an additional variation of ways to carry out economic learning activities and for future researchers to be able to master the Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model properly, utilize time effectively and can be used as a reference for adding other variables that can affect learning outcomes in addition to improving thinking skills.
