Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that has occurred in the world has affected various fields, one of which is academic institutions. Where academic activities begin to learn online. Applications that are often used to communicate online are Zoom, Cisco Webex and Google Meet. The large number of needs regarding live streaming video invites a lot of user attention to the quality of the network, especially the quality of Quality of Service (QoS). QoS is a benchmark for a network that is said to be good in terms of data traffic that rotates on the system. Quality of Service (QoS) parameters that will be measured during the streaming process are Delay, Jitter, Packet loss, Throughput and MOS (Mean Openion Score). This research was conducted live with various obstacles that occur during video streaming, such as stability on the network. The network used is indihome with a speed of 20 mbps. The purpose of this measurement is to find out the difference in the results of each application using the same network from bandwidth usage, waiting time and lost data packets. This measurement was carried out in 3 scenarios with a duration of 5 minutes and observations were made on client A. The results of this study obtained the best network performance based on the large number of clients in the Google Meet application, namely in scenario 2 with 3 clients, and the application tested with the best network performance is in the Google Meet app. this is because the results of the QoS parameters on Google Meet are at the highest throughput value, namely 1587, worth 3 for delay, and worth 3 for jitter, and the smallest value for packet loss is with a value of 3.4%. Suggestions for further research can add the number of clients more than 15 clients to find out the difference in results that are more significant than this study.
