Abstract

Structural reliability is the probability that a structure does not fail or succeed when it withstands the working load. The success of a structure is stated if the worst condition of the structure, namely the minimum capacity of the structure can still withstand the maximum load conditions of the structure. It is known that a truss structure with a truss bridge function in Sei Mandau, Bengkalis, Riau is located in an industrial area. Where in this industrial area there are many vehicles with the type of truck with large or heavy tonnage. Therefore, the structure of this truss bridge will often be passed by trucks which will pose a risk of failure because it will affect the resilience of each of the elements that make up the truss bridge, such as the joints in holding the vehicle load. Therefore, In this study, an analysis of the reliability (reliability) of the truss bridge structure is reviewed on all structural elements due to variations in vehicle loads. The purpose of this study is to find out how reliable the structure is or not fail in terms of strength, stability and security of the structure so that it can meet the level of reliability as a good infrastructure. In this study, the method used to analyze the reliability of the structure uses the concept of probability of failure with the normal distribution (Gaussian) calculation method. The calculation with the normal distribution method uses the output axial force of the structure as a random variable whose structural analysis is calculated with the help of the STAAD.Pro V8i program and the loading according to SNI 1725:2016 regarding loading for bridges. The axial force of the structure is taken from the maximum axial force of the rod that occurs due to 10 variations in the location of the vehicle load, then the result of the probability of structural failure is calculated based on the loads that occur from 70 tons to 140 tons with an interval of 14 tons. The results showed that the probability of structural failure for each load was 4.46% for 70 tons, 11.51% for 84 tons, 27.43% for 98 tons, 50% for 112 tons, 72.58% for 126 tons and 140 tons for loads. by 88.49%. Meanwhile, the structural reliability values are for a load of 70 tons of 95.54%, a load of 84 tons of 88.49%, a load of 98 tons of 72.57%, a load of 112 tons of 50%, a load of 126 tons of 27.42% and a load of 140 tons of 11.51%.
