Abstract

In large-scale infrastructure development. The implementation of time management plays an important role, because of the limited implementation resources and time. A project is said to be good if the completion of the project is efficient in terms of time. This study aims to identify time management in the implementation of the Pekanbaru-Bangkinang toll road project, determine the critical path, determine the duration of the project using the CPM and PERT methods, find out the comparison of time in the field and comparison with way of analysis using CPM and PERT methods. (Natagera 2020) The method used in this study uses the CPM and PERT methods in analyzing time management by creating a network and determining the critical path so that the duration of the work can be obtained. This research was conducted on the Pekanbaru Padang Toll Road Development Project in Section VI Pekanbaru – Bangkinang, the location is in Rumbio Jaya District, Bukit Kratai Village, Kampar Regency, Riau Province with a planner duration of 141 weeks. The results of the research method used have different concepts of time, CPM only uses one definite time, while PERT uses three estimates of time, namely the optimistic time, the most likely time and the pessimistic time. The critical activity trajectories obtained using the same CPM and PERT methods are: Office Work and Toll Facilities, Diversion Works and Protection of Existing Utilities, Demolition Works, Earthworks, Subgrade Preparation Work, Other Works, Traffic Lighting Works and Works Electricity. While the duration obtained is different, namely in the CPM method, the time required is 137 working weeks. and the time obtained using the PERT method is 139.33 working weeks this is because PERT has three estimates of time. Comparison between planners and research, the planning time is 141 weeks, so for CPM the time required is 137 working weeks (2.84%) , while the PERT time required is 139.33 working weeks (1.18%).
