Abstract

Optimization is a process to achieve the ideal result. Factor which affects the delay in this project is the bad weather support so the work had to be postponed. Therefore it is necessary to do optimizing the implementation of a project so that late projects can be accelerated based on the contract. The purpose of this research is to find out changes in time and cost of project implementation with additional working hours overtime as well as knowing the optimum time and the factors that influence project delays. This research was conducted on the Procurement project New Construction of Negative Pressure Isolation Room-Karimun Regency Riau Islands Province. The method used is crashing, which is to shorten the time (duration) of work by adding additional working hours. The method of crashing that used to focus only on work that is on the critical path with using Microsoft Projects. The results showed that, the addition of 1 hour of overtime obtained the acceleration duration of 129.63 days from the normal duration of 130 days, cost acceleration of Rp3,842,328,975.62 from the normal cost of Rp3,841,356,143.22, cost variance Rp972,832.40 (percentage increase 0.154%). Working hours 2 hours of overtime obtained an acceleration duration of 129.25 days from the normal duration of 130 days, acceleration fee Rp3,843,301,808.02 from normal cost Rp3,841,356,143.22, cost variance Rp1,945,664.80 (percentage increase 0.309%). Working hours 3 hours of overtime obtained acceleration duration of 128.88 days from the normal duration of 130 days, acceleration fee Rp3,844,274,640.42 from normal cost Rp3,841,356,143.22, cost variance Rp2,918,497.20 (percentage increase 0.463%). For optimal time with the acceleration of working hours (overtime) occurs in the addition of 3 hours of work with a total duration of 128.88 from the normal duration of 130 days. Whereas for optimal cost occurs in the addition of 1 hour of working hours with a total cost total project Rp3,842,328,975.62 of the normal cost of the whole project Rp3,841,356,143.22.
