Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of compressive strength and flexural strength on fc' concrete aged 14 days and 28 days using Flex Tape coating. Flex Tape is a product brand of strong and waterproof duct tape that can cover or repair anything. This duct tape is specially formulated; thick, flexible, rubber back that can stick to any shape. The method of this research is to use an experimental study method, namely by conducting direct experiments in the laboratory. This test is only devoted to knowing changes in compressive strength and flexural strength. The research was carried out by making cylindrical specimens with a diameter of 15 cm and a height of 30 cm and beams of 15 cm x 15 cm x 60 cm with a concrete quality of fc'20, and Flex Tape made from polymer rubber with a flex tape size of 4 in x 5 ft ( 10.2cm x 1.52cm). Based on the test results, the compressive strength value without FlexTape coating, the average compressive strength test of fc'20 concrete for the concrete age of 14 days is 30.747 Mpa and for the 28 day concrete age is 33.011 Mpa while the compressive strength value using FlexTape coating the average compressive strength test fc'20 concrete for concrete age 14 days is 34,048 MPa and for concrete age, 28 days is 36,312 MPa or there is an increase in compressive strength for concrete fc'20 aged 14 days with flex tape coating as much as 5.09% and there is an increase in compressive strength for concrete fc'20 aged 28 days with flex tepe coating as much as 4.76%. Flexural strength value without FlexTape coating the average flexural strength test for concrete fc' 20 for concrete age of 14 days is 0.747 Mpa and for concrete age, 28 days is 0.862 Mpa while Flexural strength value using FlexTape coating average flexural strength test for concrete fc' 20 for concrete aged 14 days is 0.729 Mpa and for concrete aged 28 days is 0.818 Mpa or there is a decrease in flexural strength for concrete fc'20 aged 14 days as much as 1.22% and there is a decrease in flexural strength for concrete fc'20 aged 28 days as much as 2,62%. In general, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the fc'20 concrete compressive test although it is not too high, and there is a decrease in the fc'20 concrete flexural strength test.
