Abstract
One of the problems faced by students who memorize the Quran is the lack of external social support. This study aims to determine the correlation between social supports and self efficacy in memorizing Al-quran on high school level students at Imam Syafi‟i Islamic Boarding School, Pekanbaru. The subjects in this study are high school level students of Imam Syafii Islamic Boarding School in Pekanbaru with a total sample of 144 people. The sampling technique used is quota sampling and the data is analyzed by using Pearson product moment correlation test. The data collection methos used in this study is social support scale consisting of 16 items and self-efficacy scale in memorizing the Al Quran which consists of 31 items. The results obtained from the statistical analysis that have been carry out that there is a positive and significant correlation with correlation coefficient (r) 0.747 and a significant value (p) = 0,000 (p <0.05). This indicats that the hypothesis is accepted, It leads that the higher the social support, the higher the self-efficacy in memorizing the Quran in high school students at Imzam Syafii Islamic Boarding School Pekanbaru. and otherwise, the lower the social support, the lower the self-efficacy in memorizing the Quran.
