Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the prospects of Riau's typical handicraft business in employment (Case Study of the Weaving Fabric Craft Industry in Pekanbaru City) and the role of Riau's typical handicraft industry in employment in Pekanbaru City. The data analysis used in this research is quantitative descriptive analysis. The research was conducted by conducting interviews and distributing questionnaires. In order to facilitate the research, the writer uses side purposive. The population that has been used in this research is all businesses of Riau's typical handicrafts woven cloth crafts as many as 23 businesses. Theresults of this study are analysis of development prospects for the woven fabric handicraft industry business in Pekanbaru City in 2020, it is known that the sample of the woven fabric industry business in Pekanbaru City is 11 feasible businesses to implement, because all the woven fabric handicraft industry businesses in Pekanbaru City have B / C Ratio greater than 1 (> 1). Of the total woven fabric industry in Pekanbaru City, the net income is different per month, the largest net income is Rp. 24,809,376/ month and the minimum net income is Rp. 6,810,835 / month.
